Spotlight School

Our Mission

The Educational Technology Training Center works collaboratively to provide professional learning, consulting, and service for Georgia pre-service and in-service educators to promote the appropriate use of technology in support of teaching, learning, and leadership.

The Educational Technology Training Center (ETTC) at First District is a collaborative effort between the First District RESA and the Georgia Department of Education.

GACE Assessments

The Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators® (GACE®) are criterion-referenced, objective-based assessments designed to measure a candidate’s knowledge and skills in relation to established standards. We currently offer the Paraprofessional and Computer Skills Competency Assessments.

SEGA Tech

SEGA Tech (Southeast Georgia Techology), a blog for educators concerned about the appropriate, effective, and efficient use of technology in Southeast Georgia's schools. Through it, we provide daily resources and ideas for technology integration in classrooms K-12 and in any subject. www.segatech.us

Professional Learning

All of our professional learning services utilize Moodle for online access to course content.

Technical Services

Our technical support staff are available to advise school systems on security, wireless infrastructure, hardware purchases, and networking solutions. We also offer new services such as Computer Forensics and Disaster Recovery consultation.

July 15th Session: Internet Skills and Security, Daniel Rivera

This session introduces basic search strategies to help participants find exactly what they are looking for. Participants will also be exposed to some rich internet resources for health and nursing, and will create an account with del.icio.us to help manage those resources. Participants will also be given a brief introduction to viruses, spyware, and spam.
