Dr. Whit Myers became the Executive Director of First District RESA in December 2012 after serving as the long-time Superintendent of Schools in Screven County. Prior to serving as superintendent, he served as an assistant principal at the elementary and middle school levels, and as an elementary school principal.
Dr. Myers received an Associate in Arts from Andrew College. He earned the Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science and a Masters of Education in Secondary Education from Georgia Southern University. His Doctor of Education degree is from the Department of Curriculum and Supervision at the University of Georgia.
