Growing Great Teachers Through Effective Partnerships
FDRESA GaTAPP - 2 Cohorts per Fiscal Year
Applications received after Friday, July 3, 2020 will be deferred to the Winter Cohort starting January.
Essentials of Effective Teaching
Weekdays, July 7-17, 9 AM - 3 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Classes will be held virtually, live, and synchronously.
Attendance is mandatory. Candidates will need a computer with audio and video and Internet access.
Candidates will need typical class supplies like highlighters, sticky notes, word processing, and school email capabilities. Several websites and online tools will be used.
Candidates should prepare to devote their full attention to the classes for the entire time and prepare an appropriate place to work in online groups without distractions.
Textbooks for the course will be delivered to districts by the FDRESA Purchasing Department's delivery route in time for candidates to pick them up at district offices before classes begin.
Students who enter the program after deliveries have already been made will have to travel to FDRESA to pick up their textbooks.
All candidates who wish to enter GaTAPP must attend Essentials of Effective Teaching.
Summer Essentials of Effective Teaching is a course of 8 consecutive days in early July. Tuition of $600 is due at the beginning of the course. Districts will be invoiced.
Winter Essentials of Effective Teaching is a course of 8 consecutive days in early January. Tuition of $600 is due at the beginning of the course. Districts will be invoiced.
Candidates may attend Essentials as an option prior to securing a teaching position.
