CCRPI is used rather than Milestones proficiency because it is the one measure published for every school in Georgia; Milestones detail on this site covers the First District systems only, so peer schools link to a dashboard here when they are in the region and are listed by name when they are not. Peers must share a grade span, because elementary, middle and high CCRPI scores are built from different components. Similarity is a rank sum of composition distance — shares of economically disadvantaged, students with disabilities, English learner, Black, Hispanic and White students — and the gap in economically disadvantaged rate. The line each school is judged against is fitted by least squares across Georgia schools of the same grade span enrolling at least 200 students, and is drawn only where it explains at least a quarter of the variation. Georgia identifies economically disadvantaged students by direct certification, and schools operating the Community Eligibility Provision report every student as eligible — so the measure compresses at the top.
