Schools like Glynn Academy

Every Georgia high school of about this size, serving about these students — which of them are ahead, and which are ahead of what their own students' poverty rate would predict. Those are the ones with a practice worth going to see.

Ranked on CCRPI rather than Milestones, because CCRPI is the one score Georgia publishes for every school in the state.

Schools worth visiting

Look-alike schools scoring higher than Glynn Academy, ordered by score. None of them is large enough, or in a grade span settled enough, for the state's poverty trend to say whether it is over-performing.

No school in this peer set outscores Glynn Academy. On these terms it is already the strongest of its look-alikes — the comparison to draw is with its own previous years.

Every Georgia high school, by poverty rate

The line is what the state manages at each poverty rate. Height above it, not height on the page, is the thing worth chasing — and it is why the peer set is drawn from a band across this chart rather than from the top of it.

Sources: CCRPI single scores published by the Governor's Office of Student Achievement, and enrollment size and composition from GOSA's Enrollment by Grade and Enrollment by Subgroup Metrics files, all 2024–25. CCRPI is used rather than Milestones proficiency because it is the one measure published for every school in Georgia; Milestones detail on this site covers the First District systems only, so peer schools link to a dashboard here when they are in the region and are listed by name when they are not. Peers must share a grade span, because elementary, middle and high CCRPI scores are built from different components. Similarity is a rank sum of composition distance — shares of economically disadvantaged, students with disabilities, English learner, Black, Hispanic and White students — and the gap in economically disadvantaged rate. The line each school is judged against is fitted by least squares across Georgia schools of the same grade span enrolling at least 200 students, and is drawn only where it explains at least a quarter of the variation. Georgia identifies economically disadvantaged students by direct certification, and schools operating the Community Eligibility Provision report every student as eligible — so the measure compresses at the top.
